Lichen is a game about surviving on alien planets.

Lichen beta 1.6 is most of the underlying code to make the game, along with some art and soundtrack, and a test executable to make sure my build process is working. The game is not out yet. Playable demo soon, in a few days maybe!

For all you developers, the MODDING file has detailed instructions for compiling Lichen, and also for altering it to make your own python games! Speaking of python, yes, I ported Lichen from C to python. It's really nice. :]

Lichen is open-source and free-to-play. This freedom extends to the art and soundtrack, which are royalty-free and licensed CC-BY (or equivalent) from their respective artists.

Lichen survives off of player donations. Consider donating. Every little bit helps!
